“The bigger picture for travellers”/ Travel information from Marco Polo now available on the websites of Neckermann Reisen, Aldiana, Thomas Cook Reisen and Condor – free “Compact Guide” via e-mail
Oberursel, 20 July 2005 — Those in the know get more out of their holiday. The tour operators of Thomas Cook AG as well as Condor and Falk Marco Polo Interactive are now making it even easier to search for the best tips for holiday destinations. Starting from now, visitors to the various Thomas Cook websites (http://www.neckermann-reisen.de/, http://www.thomascook-reisen.de/, http://www.aldiana.de/, http://www.condor.com/, http://www.thomascook.de/) will find comprehensive information relating to countries and travel from Falk Marco Polo Interactive for around 200 travel destinations.
All of the useful information is clearly organised under headings just like in the well-known printed Marco Polo travel guides. For example, the best-known sights can be found under “Highlights”. In the “Food and Drink” section, the authors provide not only the addresses of restaurants but also background information relating to local gastronomy and traditional dishes from the particular region. Those who are more interested in burning off the calories than in their calorie intake can surf the “Sports and Activities” section where they will find everything they need to know about what is on offer at their holiday destination together with useful information regarding what they can generally expect to pay for such activities. With a great deal of further information regarding shopping facilities, tour destinations or useful nightlife addresses for example, travellers can form a detailed impression of the country and its people before their holiday has even begun.

Free “Compact Guide” via e-mail from August
In addition to the extensive country information, Thomas Cook Reisen, Neckermann, Aldiana and Condor are providing an extra service for their online customers starting in August. Those guests who booked their holiday on the Internet will receive via e-mail a free Marco Polo “Compact Guide” relating to their holiday destination. Interesting information and practical tips for the journey are summarised on five to eight pages. The Thomas Cook tour operators and Condor are the first companies to offer their guests this service free of charge.
