For the IFA consumer electronics trade show 2011 (Berlin, 2 to 7 September), Falk Content & Internet Solutions will be presenting an app showcase for the B2B sector for the first time. The product is called TravelFinder. It is an app which has been developed specifically for tour operators, internet service providers, travel agencies and hotel chains and also for other companies involved in the travel industry such as airlines, bus and rail operators and car rental firms. The application can be individually tailored to the particular partner and, depending on the requirements, contains different content as well as bookable offers from the provider. For customer connectivity, the application can also be expanded to include interactive Falk travel guides for the respective destination area. 25. August 2011
The new navigation apps from Falk have arrived. They will be presented at the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin (2 to 7 September 2011) at Stand 200 in Hall 9. For the first time, the Falk Navigator 3.0 software is available both for the iPhone® and for users of Android devices. The apps, which are available for individual regions and for Europe as a whole, come with numerous new functions and support offline navigation in which the maps are stored on the smartphone. In addition, Falk is opting for a modular building block principle with the Navigator 3.0: This means that the inexpensive basic product 'Falk Navigator Plus' can be expanded to include various plus packages as you wish. Falk, the specialist in mobile navigation, is presenting a new application for the iPhone® with the Falk Navigator North America. Available right now in the iTunes® App Store, the software covers the USA and Canada and turns the popular smartphone into a reliable travel companion for holidaymakers travelling overseas. The new navigation and travel guide application is fully compatible with the latest iPhone 4® and with the 3G and 3GS models. Familiar multitasking functions of the iOS4 operating system are supported. The navigation expert Falk is releasing its new version 1.5 of the Falk Navigator for the iPhone 3G and 3GS in the App Store. The update is available right now for the latest Europe and DACH version. As well as new features such as live traffic and live local search, the update also offers the option of expanding a chosen regional map to cover the whole of Europe and updating your own Facebook status when you are out and about. Let your friends know where you are, where you are heading or what music you are listening to. The tried-and-tested Falk Guide city travel guides are of course also included. The Falk Guide Vienna, including exciting audio information, is preinstalled as standard. Another 29 Falk Guides are available to buy via In-App Purchase. 2. June 2010
iheads and Falk Content & Internet Solutions (Falk CIS) are expanding their current range of City Guides for the iPhone and the iPod touch. Both for the Marco Polo CityGuides and for the Falk Guides, six new US-American cities are now available: Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington D.C. Just in time for the Football World Cup in South Africa, Cape Town is also being made available. The seven new guides in total have already been submitted to Apple for inspection and they will be available shortly in the App Store. 9. April 2010
mTrip Travel Guide and Falk CIS have partnered to create the most interactive and content-rich travel product on the market to date. The official launch of mTrip Travel Guide is planned at the onset of Q2/2010 starting with city guides covering major European and US cities. The guides will be available on the iPhone and iPod touch in five languages: German, English, French, Spanish and Italian (the latter for European cities only). 20. November 2009
Navigation expert Falk is bringing navigation for the iPhone 3G and 3GS to the market. Falk expects to have a presence in the App Store from the start of December with the Falk Navigator Europe and the country version Falk Navigator D-A-CH. One particular highlight here is that the Falk Navigator is the first iPhone navigation system to feature a Travel Guide. During the launch campaign lasting up until 31 December 2009, you will also receive all 30 cities1) for the Falk Guide free of charge when you purchase the Europe version. 1. September 2009
At this year's International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA) in Berlin, Falk will be unveiling an offline Travel Guide application for the iPhone and the iPod touch for the very first time. Shortly after the conclusion of the IFA, a total of 28 Falk Guides for Europe's most fashionable cities will be available to download from the App Store under the "Travel" section at a price of 3.99 euros per city. The technical development of the Falk Guides was implemented in collaboration with the Berlin-based software company iheads.
